<p>Hailia&#8217;s operations started in 2021 with the aim of rationalizing food production by introducing a competitive alternative to imported fish to the market.</p>


<p>Hailia&#8217;s factory building was renovated, and operations began. They started the production of responsible and sustainable small fish products.</p>
<p>Carbon footprint calculation commenced in collaboration with Biocode.</p>


<p>In January, we switched from conventionally produced liquid nitrogen to an environmentally friendly alternative. According to estimates, this change reduced the carbon footprint of <a href="https://report.biocode.io/product/hailia-en/hailia-pulled-small-fish">Pulled Small Fish</a> by 10 %.</p>
<p>The first product&#8217;s carbon footprint calculation was completed.</p>


Hailia Nordic Oy is a Finnish food technology start-up that began its operations in 2021, specializing in the development of innovative fish products and production methods. Their first delicious products were introduced to the market in 2023.

We are a cheese manufacturer from Kuusamo. We use professional skill to produce cheeses developed by our cheese masters. The character of our cheeses matures surrounded by the Northern nature. We know that good things are not made easily, but with a relentless attitude.

<p>We make characteristic emmental, tasty cream cheese and nuanced edam from fresh milk. We are also proud of our smoked cheeses that are smoked with real alder chips.</p>

Vöner Oy is a Finnish company founded in 2017. Company produces plant-based food products, e.g. plant-based proteins and ready meals for retail and professional channels.

<p>Vöner is a meat-substitute made of wheat-protein.</p>

<p>The whole fish is utilised as accurately as possible. The side streams have useful purposes, including export, feed, pet food and the craft industry.</p>


<p>We built a solar power plant that produces about 14% of the annual energy used by our factory. We use geothermal heat and all waste heat is recovered.</p>


<p>The new factory is completed. It is designed to be as energy efficient as possible. Energy efficiency is the cornerstone of Kalavapriikki&#8217;s environmental responsibility.</p>


<p>Plastic gives way to cardboard. All styrofoam boxes used by Kalavapriikki are replaced by corrugated boxes.</p>


<p>Reduction of carbon emissions by 5 % in the entire Kalsonni product portfolio.</p>


Kalaonni, fisherman's luck, is the best we know at Kalavapriikki: relentlessly high-quality domestic seafood - in a form that suits the urban lifestyle and is easily accessible.
We created a product family keeping in mind people like us: pleasure-seeking but busy urban supermarket fishermen who definitely want a clean and responsibly produced taste experience on our plates.

<p>We prefer domestic, near-grown fish, whose origin we know. The products are manufactured responsibly at Kalavapriikki in Kuopio.</p>
<p>Kalaonni, fisherman&#8217;s luck, takes you instantly on enjoyable tasting trips. The products are either ready to eat or require a short cooking. The enjoyment guide helps you in using the product and preparing it for a meal.</p>
<p>&#8216;Taattua kalaonnea by Kalavapriikki&#8217; stamp says every product is guaranteed by our people. We make Kalaonni in Kuopio together with joy, respect for handicrafts and unshakable quality standards.</p>
<p>Many Kalaonni products have a sales time of up to 30 days. Thanks to our customers, the products are packaged in reasonably sized and ecological skin packaging with minimal use of plastic.</p>

<p>Along with the new expansion, we will store the thermal energy released during the berry freezing in the Suonenjoki district heating network in cooperation with a local energy operator.</p>

We are a berry growers' own company founded in 1982, and our task is to offer all Finns domestic, safe and healthy berry products every day of the year. We are located in the middle of the berry area in Suonenjoki.

<p>We manufacture and develop products from domestic cultivated, forest and organic berries, which are available frozen all year round and fresh during the harvest season in the frozen and fresh departments of stores and wholesalers. Our products include e.g. mixed berries, purées and ice cream. More than 95% of our end products are domestic.</p>

Helsinki Mills is a Finnish family-owned company that develops, manufactures and markets various cereal products for consumers, large kitchens and industry. We are Finland's largest processor of domestic organic grain, a major manufacturer of various oat products and an exporter of grain products. Our production process has been carbon neutral since 2020. We export oat products to about 40 countries.

<p>Helsinki Mill&#8217;s products are carbon neutrally manufactured from domestic, nearby-grown grain. We offer tasty solutions for the whole family for every moment of the day. Miller&#8217;s flour, porridge, muesli, cereals and meal ingredients are always made from the best and purest ingredients. All of our products are plant-based, most vegan. We have a wide range of gluten-free and organic products. It has been clear to us from the very beginning that we can only succeed with safe and high-quality products and activities that value nature and people. Responsibility is one of the most important values ​​of a fourth-generation family business.</p>

Soft and tasty porridge is made from oat flakes made from domestic whole-grain organic oats for breakfast or dinner. You will get the perfect result when you cook your porridge in milk or vegetable milk. Also use high-fiber organic oat flakes for rolls, oatmeal cookies or even home-made granola.
