We stopped using palm oil in our products.

We switched to using cardboard recyclable packaging for Oikia potato chips.
All Oikia brand packaging is recyclable, 70% cardboard recyclable and 30% plastic recyclable.

90% of our energy consumption is generated by bioenergy (wood chips). Renewably energy covers 28.9% of our electricity consumption and nuclear power 39.8%. The rest of the electricity is produced with fossil energy sources or peat.

Products & services
The potatoes used to make our potato chips are sourced from contract farmers in the area. We can be proud to mark in each of our chip bags whose potatoes we have used to make it. We are the only manufacturer in Finland that can use the HYVÄÄ SUOMESTA label on potato chips as a sign of high degree of domesticity in raw materials.
Our oat snacks are made from the gluten-free pure oats of Kinnunen Mylly, and the origin of locally sourced oats is also described on the packaging to the farmer.
All children’s snacks are organic and our entire factory is gluten-free.
